Islanders C Schremp out for season

The forward injured his right knee during Tuesday's game against Philadelphia. The diagnosis is a torn meniscus which will require surgery.

Schremp recorded seven goals and 18 assists in 44 games for the Islanders this season.

The most interesting game of the opening week will feature the NFC champion Bears as they hit the road to take on the NFL’s top team during last year’s regular season, the San Diego Chargers.
